COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE & SKIN CONDITIONS

Glow up naturally

Great skin from the inside out in the long term.

Addressing the root cause of your skin challenges is the only solution to a great skin in the long term. Treatments, make up or chemicals only cover up what is really going on inside. Working on your internal imbalance is the only long-term solution.

You deserve better than a non-lasting quick fix.

Thankfully, Chinese medicine offers herbal therapy and facial acupuncture to tackle the root cause of your issues and find your inner balance and radiance.

FAQ: Most common questions about facial acupuncture

Cosmetic Acupuncture, also referred to as facial acupuncture, is a unique style of acupuncture that stimulates the production of collagen, softens and prevents aging, gently lift and sculpt the jawline and cheeks, gives a healthy and glowly look, reduces jaw tension and relieves stress.

It is a natural non-invasive method that uses the art of Traditional Chinese Medicine to balance your body and improve your skin health.

Cosmetic Acupuncture works on different levels.

The insertion of needles creates a microtrauma that activates a cascade of healing mechanisms such as the production of collagen to fill in and restructure the area. This results in a lifting effect and wrinkles elimination or reduction.

Along with this healing process, blood flow, and therefore oxygen and nutrients, is restored in the area giving the skin a radiant look.

The technique used induce the tightening of the facial muscles creating a more sculpted appearance.

Cosmetic acupuncture is a natural way to improve your skin’s texture, tone, luminosity. It also helps to:

  • Bring up your glow
  • Increase circulation and oxygen to the skin
  • Release facial muscle tensions
  • Reduce acne and breakouts
  • Balance oily/dry skin
  • Firm skin and reduce sagging
  • Brighten dark circles under eyes
  • Tighten the pores
  • Brighten dull complexion
  • Lift and tone sagging skin, eyelids, and jowls

Cosmetic acupuncture can help reduce lines and wrinkles anywhere on the face, specifically:

  • Number 11 lines between the eyebrows
  • Crow’s feet
  • Smile lines or nasolabial folds
  • Forehead lines
  • Vertical lip lines
  • Jowls
  • Eyelid Lines
  • Chin lines
  • Neck lines

At your first session, I will ask you about your goals and challenges, we will talk about your general health, inspect your skin, check your tongue and pulse.

After lying down on the comfy table, you will receive body acupuncture in order to relax and help with anything you are currently going through. Then I will gently cleanse your skin and massage your face to activate the meridians. Facial acupuncture and LED light therapy will be applied for 20min. The needles will be removed and I proceed to the lymphatic drainage, gua-sha, cupping and roller massage.

Acupuncture has a cumulative effect, thus repeated treatments are needed to create a lasting effect. The general recommendation for a series 10 of cosmetic acupuncture treatments is 1-2 treatments per week for 5 to 10 weeks.

Patients start seeing results after 4-5 treatments. The results and their intensity (wrinkles reduction, complexion…) depends on the patient age and lifestyle (nutrition, smoking, sleep, alcohol, exercise…).

I always offer to take a picture before and after treatment so that patients stay motivated seeing the results. Pictures are optional.
