What is cupping therapy?

Cupping is a very ancient therapy, which was found in various cultures around the world. Cupping therapy has a long history in China, more than 2000 years.

How does it work?

Cupping produces a vacuum on the skin, which causes the area where the cup is placed to rise. The area where the cupping cup is placed is lifted, it is like the reverse effect of when the massage exerts pressure on the contracture to make it give way, only instead of the area

sinking, it rises and does not hurt. This activates blood circulation and creates a quick relief.

Traditional cups can be made of glass, bamboo, ceramic or clay. Modern cups can be made of plastic with a suction pump. They can be applied in a variety of ways, they can be left in place and stay, they can be removed and put on quickly, they can be shaken, rotated…They can be used to perform a massage when oil is applied previously. This is used against cellulite and for weight loss treatments.
